Garment Care Guide

Renaissance garments are made with some of the best materials in the world. With proper care, each of our garments are built to last. Select materials require specific care to preserve their quality and appearance over time. Here are our recommendations on how best to care for your new garment. SUEDE

Our suede pieces are crafted from finely finished natural leather, offering a soft, velvety texture that requires specialized care to maintain its appearance. With proper handling, suede will retain its rich character and refined finish over time.

We recommend cleaning only through a professional leather and suede specialist. Avoid exposure to water and moisture, as this can stain or alter the texture of the material. Store in a cool, dry place and use a soft suede brush between wears to gently restore the nap and remove surface dust.

Leather

Our premium Calf Leather is naturally tanned and designed to age beautifully with minimal maintenance.

To preserve its quality, avoid extended exposure to direct sunlight and moisture. If the leather becomes wet, gently pat it dry with a soft, absorbent, non-pilling cloth. Do not rub or apply excessive pressure, as water can leave marks. Allow the leather to air dry naturally, and avoid using external heat sources such as radiators or hair dryers, which may cause damage.

For more intensive cleaning, we recommend consulting a professional leather cleaner who uses special leather or suede care methods.

Cashmere

Our premium cashmere is crafted from the finest natural fibers and is best maintained with professional care to preserve its softness, structure, and longevity. With proper handling, it will retain its luxurious feel and refined appearance over time.

For our cashmere jackets, we recommend professional dry cleaning only. Avoid machine washing or excessive moisture, as this can compromise the integrity of the fibers and the garment’s shape. Between cleanings, gently brush with a soft garment brush to remove surface dust and allow the piece to air out. Store on a structured hanger in a cool, dry place, and keep away from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to maintain its color and finish.

Cashmere-Cotton

For our Organic Cotton and Cashmere knitwear, we recommend professional dry cleaning to best preserve the integrity of the fibers; however, hand washing is also suitable when done with care. Use cold water and a mild detergent, gently agitating without twisting or wringing. Press out excess water with a clean towel and lay flat to dry, reshaping as needed. Avoid hanging, as this may cause stretching, and keep away from direct heat or prolonged sunlight to protect the fabric’s texture and color.

Virgin-Wool

Our virgin wool coats are crafted from premium fibers that maintain their structure and finish with proper care. To preserve their shape, texture, and longevity, we recommend professional dry cleaning only. Avoid machine washing or exposure to excessive moisture, and store on a structured hanger in a cool, dry place to retain their form.

Linen

Linen is a highly breathable and absorbent fabric, and should be washed separately from heavier garments to prevent abrasion. Before washing our linen shirts, fasten all buttons, remove any collar stays, and turn the garment inside out to help preserve color and protect its detailing.

To maintain their quality and softness, we recommend hand washing in cold water using a mild detergent.

Gently agitate without wringing, then press out excess water with a clean towel. Lay flat or hang to air dry, and avoid direct heat or prolonged sunlight to preserve the fabric’s integrity and color.
